Kris Commons has apologiesd for his outburst during Celtics midweek Europa League defeat to Molde.
The Norwegian side ran out comfortable 3-1 winners on Thursday night and Commons voiced his displeasure after being substituted.
The former Scotland winger then took his frustrations out on assistant manager John Collins as he made his way into the dugout.
In a statement today he said: “I’d like to apologise for my reaction last night, something that should never be shown publicly on the field,” Commons said in a statement.
“I was very frustrated at how the night had gone. However, I did not handle this in the right way. My frustration at losing games and my desire to win will never change.”
Commons was the player who pulled one back for Celtic, Nadir Ciftci coming on to replace the 32-year-old.
