Kilkenny's Michael Rice is the latest intercounty star to suffer a suspected cruciate ligament injury.

The two-time All-Star winner, who sat out the Cats' league campaign because of injury, suffered a serious knee injury during training camp last weekend.

Kilkenny say that the 30-year-old has suffered a suspected torn cruciate, but they are still waiting for a full diagnosis.
