Kilkenny are once again top of the pile. A 2-17 to 2-14 win over Tipperary in today’s All-Ireland final replay makes the Cats All-Ireland champions for the seventh time in nine years. The win also makes it ten Liam McCarthy wins for Henry Shefflin, and ten for Brian Cody as coach.

Tipp had the better of a tight first half with Seamus Callanan's goal giving them 1-07 to 0-8 lead at half-time.

The key goals came in the second half, from brothers John and Richie Power – with both goals coming within a four minute spell around the hour mark that shifted the game drastically towards Kilkenny.

Tipperary continued fighting right until the end, with Seamus Callanan getting the second goal for his side on 69 minutes, narrowing the gap to two points.
