Former All-Ireland winning captain was dropped from the Kerry panel earlier this week after 12 years of service to the county teams from an underage level.

The Dr. Crokes forward was joint captain when the Kingdom won Sam Maguire in 2014, and he lifted the trophy with club mate Fionn Fitzgerald, but as it stands, he won't be a part of Kerry's latest crusade for Championship glory.

Despite the sheer disappointment of being a victim of Eamon Fitzmaurice's inter-county culling, O'Leary has released a classy statement in regards to the decision.

At 28-years of age its difficult to envisage O'Leary never pulling on a county jersey again, particularly with an attitude like that.
