Striker Kevin Phillips has announced his retirement from football.

He will play his final game for Championship winners Leicester on Saturday.

Phillips played in the Premier League at the age of 40, when he appeared for Crystal Palace earlier this season.

In 1999/2000, Phillips won the Premier League Golden Boot after notching 30 goals for Sunderland, thanks in part to his "little & large" partnership with ex-Ireland striker Niall Quinn.

He represented 10 clubs during his club career and also earned eight England caps between 1999 and 2002.
