Kerry have made it to the All-Ireland Senior Football semi-finals after a 1-20 to 2-10 victory over Galway at today's quarter-final at Croke Park.
James O'Donoghue got the opening goal of the game for Kerry with 13 minutes played, but a superb solo effort from Thomas Flynn found the net for the Tribesmen to keep them in touch going into half-time.
Michael Lundy netted for Galway just after the break to keep the pressure on, while O'Donoghue missed a glorious goal opportunity for Kerry.
However, the Kingdom managed 12 points in the second half, with Kieran O'Leary scoring the final point in the last moments of the match.
Mayo will now be looking to secure a fourth successive semi final appearance when they take on Cork at 4pm.
The Rebels are unchanged from their Munster final loss to Kerry, while James Horan has also resisted tinkering with the side that claimed a fourth straight Connacht title.
