Kenny Cunningham stuck his neck out and called a victory for Arsenal over Bayern Munich when he joined us on Off The Ball earlier tonight and that is what came to pass as the Gunners won tonight's Champions League group clash 2-0.

Kenny re-joined us after the match to give his take on Arsenal's performance and he picked out the key things which led to victory.

He lauded left-back Nacho Monreal's performance, highlighting the Arsenal defender's positional sense, although he did not think the London side were wholly comfortable when defending from midfield.

But he also detailed the pros and cons of a high line when defending free-kicks as Bayern failed to do successfully against the Gunners, although he "actively encourages a high line but it's when you retreat, you have to retreat together as a unit and keep the spaces between defenders as close as you can".

Kenny also backed the timing of the Olivier Giroud substitution as the French striker gave Arsenal the lead shortly after his introduction, while he also said he wants to see the team play that effective counter-attacking style more often.
