Former Munster hooker Keith Wood has joined the province's Non-Executive Commercial Board which provides strategic guidance, advice and support to the existing Branch Committee structures and management.

Wood, who retired from rugby after the 2003 World Cup, played one season for the province in 1999-2000. He was part of the team that reached the 2000 Heineken Cup Final, where the team lost to Northampton Saints in Twickenham.

The Clare native has over twenty years' experience in sports marketing, brand engagement, strategic planning and sponsorship management. He is the founder of W2 Consulting, and will use his professional skills to help the province.

Munster's Commercial Board has proven instrumental in giving valuable support to the province's Greencore Academy and most recently to the development of the new High Performance Centre.
