Keith Wood says he was "very impressed" by Munster's performance and strategy in their Friday night win over Saracens.

He and Gerry Thornley were on Off The Ball for Wednesday Night Rugby as always and Keith picked out the aspects of the win which pleased him most.

"I thought it was a smart performance. There were big performances from players we haven't seen those really big performances from. Dave Foley was fantastic. I thought Duncan Casey and Cronin played very well, I thought Conway had a cracking game and was full of enthusiasm and aggression."

Gerry also went over the intricacies of the tactics and saw it as a game when Anthony Foley came of age as head coach.

But he also spoke about the discrepancy between league and European performances and how that ties into the fans.

Meanwhile, Ulster are in a perilous position in the pool stage and Keith highlighted the injury-enforced absence of Ruan Pienaar as a key problem for a province in a transitional period.

Leinster beat Castres and also have seasoned internationals returning from injury and the lads looked at how that will boost the province in the next phase of the pool stage.
