Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane has pulled out of ITV's World cup coverage to concentrate on coaching.

It is believed that the 42-year-old may become Aston Villa's assistant manager when he returns from Irelands tour of America.

Initial talks between the Cork man and manager Paul Lambert are believed to have gone well and will continue in coming weeks.

According to reports Keane will remain in his role with Ireland even if he takes a job at Villa Park.
