Ireland's Katie Taylor has secured yet another international medal.

The London Olympic hero has beaten home favourite Lavina Ioana Mera of Romania in their quarter-final at the European Women's Championships in Bucharest.

The Bray native was always in control of the bout before being declared the winner by technical knockout.

Earlier, Joanna Lambe and Michela Walsh both lost their quarter-finals bouts.
