Justin Thomas leads the field by two shots heading into the final round of the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii later on Sunday.

Thomas signed for his third successive round of 67 to post a tournament score of 18-under with one round left to play.

The highlight of his third round was arguably his eagle on the driveable par four 14th.

Japan's Hideki Matsuyama is hot on his tail after posting a seven-under round of 66 to sit two shots behind the American.

Elsewhere William McGuirt, Jimmy Walker and Ryan Moore all sit within striking distance on 14-under par.

Other notable scores see world number one Jason Day on a tournament total of ten-under par with Jordan Speith on eight-under.

Speaking to pga.com after his round Matsuyama said: “Justin doesn't have any weaknesses at all in his game. He hits it long, has a marvelous short game, putts well, hits the ball well. We've got to go low tomorrow to be able to catch him.”

The Japanese star has won four of his last five worldwide starts including the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions.
