Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he has warned his players about posting comments on social media after a Snapchat outburst from Mamadou Sakho.

The French defender has been out of favour at the club and said he wanted fans to know "the truth" about his absence.

In April he was left out of the team while being investigated by UEFA after a doping test but the case was later dismissed.

Sakho was also sent home from their pre-season tour by Klopp for repeatedly being late.

On Snapchat, he vented his feelings about his absence from first-team action, stating that, "I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support."

But Klopp has now drawn a line under the issue.

"It's not a rule for Mamadou Sakho. It's a rule for every player. I spoke to the team and I spoke to Mama (Sakho) and we spoke together. And that's it. From my side, everything is done and now we can carry on," he said.
