Chelsea captain John Terry says there is still "no communication" with the club about staying next season.

The defender said he would be leaving at the end of the current campaign after their FA Cup win last weekend.

Terry tells Sky Sports News he still expects that to be the case.

"The club's the most important thing. There's no communication between the club and myself at the minute and I said what I had to say and that's how it was. But listen, more importantly we have to start winning football matches," the former England captain said after today's 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United.

Earlier today, ex-Ireland centre-back Kenny Cunningham felt Terry was trying to back Chelsea into a corner by announcing his departure and described his handling of it as "tacky".

However, a potentially serious injury to fellow centre-back Kurt Zouma could also influence Chelsea's decision on Terry's future, depending on the timescale for the young Frenchman's return.
