Conor McGregor's coach John Kavanagh has suggested that the UFC fighter will be ready for action again in a week's time.

A leg injury sustained during the UFC202 victory over Nate Diaz, with a UFC medical suspension initially giving him a six-month return-to-action timescale and little chance of fighting again in 2016.

But in an impromptu Q&A on Twitter, Kavanagh says the wait won't be anywhere as long as that.

As for the next fight for McGregor, Kavanagh said his own preference would be a title challenge for the UFC lightweight belt at 155lb.
