John Higgins beat his great rival Ronnie O'Sullivan 5-2 in their Scottish Open quarter-final in Glasgow.
Higgins won 5-2 with a with a break of 104 to reach the semi-finals.
The two 41-years-olds have nine world titles between them and are both looking for their 29th ranking event victory.
Higgins will play Judd Trump in tomorrow's semi-finals.
O'Sullivan was a finalist in the UK Championship but lost that decider to Mark Selby.
Trump defeated Robert Milkins 5-3.
The other quarter-finals see Chinese duo Yu Delu and Liang Wenbo go up against each other, while their compatriot Marco Fu plays against England's Mark Davis.
