John Giles believes Ireland should start with Robbie Keane in Friday night's Euro 2016 playoff first leg against Bosnia.

Injuries and suspension mean Shane Long and John Walters are absent in Zenica and as he selected his team on Off The Ball tonight, John picked Ireland's record goalscorer to lead the line.

"Up front is the problem [but] actually I would go with Robbie. I'd go with Robbie and [Daryl] Murphy," he said.

"There's hardly any strikers left. Robbie can always get you a goal. If Walters was [available], I would definitely play Walters and Long if they weren't injured or suspended."

He also wants to see Robbie Brady moved further forward and Wes Hoolahan at the heart of midfield.

"The best result was Germany in Dublin and in that match I felt that Brady and Hoolahan were outstanding in the game. They gave us a bit of guile, skill and creativity in the middle of the field that we don't normally have so I'd put them back in midfield along with McCarthy and McClean."
