John Giles believes this season is Arsenal's best chance to win the Premier League.

Consecutive 3-0 wins domestically and a 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League has boosted the team's confidence as they seek after a first league title in over a decade.

"At the moment it's wide open. I would doubt that Chelsea would be contenders, Liverpool I don't think will be contenders, Manchester City will be a bit inconsistent, so are Manchester United. So, I think Arsenal have a better chance of winning it this year than they had in previous seasons," said John on Off The Ball tonight.

But he does not expect them to do it because of their own deficiencies.

"I just doubt very, very much, the way they defend, that along the way you'll find results going against them that you wouldn't expect and over the long term to win the Premier League, you need a consistency of performance and I don't think they have that."

He also wants to see a more consistent attitude from in-form Mesut Ozil, while he also added that he "wouldn't be a [Theo] Walcott fan" as the England forward enjoys a run at centre-forward.
