Tomorrow night's FA Cup tie between Arsenal and Coventry will see an Irish goalkeeper attempting to stop the bullets that the Gunners will be firing towards goal.

Twice-capped Ireland international Joe Murphy is the man tasked with that difficult assignment and tonight he joined us on the show.

"We've had a few up and downs with administration so it was nice to get a good cup run. You're probably not going to win the competition but we got a great draw with Arsenal away. It's not to pit your wits against the team at the top of the English Premiership right now," said Murphy who explained a bit about the preparations that Coventry have made in order to cope with what Arsenal will throw at them.

At 32, Murphy is at a good age for a keeper and with not a whole amount of depth in that position for Ireland, Murphy is in the mix.

"If I get the call, I'll get the call. I'm extremely happy with who [Ireland] have brought in [in goals]. Martin O'Neill is an experienced manager and Roy Keane is a great No 2. If it comes, it comes. I've been 3 - 4 years out of the national team. I'm not holding my breath but I'd love to get back in and around the squad again. It's the best place to be. I'm playing at the highest level of football."

Murphy also confirmed the exact reason why he was given the cold shoulder by ex-Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni.

"It was the Carling Nations Cup games with Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. I pulled out because my girlfriend was due [to give birth]. It's a decision I don't regret and it was the happiest day of my life. If he had a problem with that, that's fine. Obviously it would have been great being in and around the squad for the last 3 - 4 years, especially for the Euros.
