With Davy Russell on-board, the 20/1 outsider held on to win by just over a length from a strong finishing Quevega.

Harrington was also the winning trainer in opening race of the afternoon as Macnicholson claimed the Colm Murray Memorial Handicap.
Elsewhere, the Grade C Three.ie Handicap Chase ent to Mallowney and the La Touche Cup for the cross country race was won by 25/1 shot Jacks Island under Ger Fox.
