There was an upset in the big race of the day at Punchestown as Jetson won the Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle.

In the process, Jessica Harrington's horse handed Quevega her first defeat since 2009.

With Davy Russell on-board, the 20/1 outsider held on to win by just over a length from a strong finishing Quevega.

Harrington was also the winning trainer in opening race of the afternoon as Macnicholson claimed the Colm Murray Memorial Handicap.

Elsewhere, the Grade C Three.ie Handicap Chase ent to Mallowney and the La Touche Cup for the cross country race was won by 25/1 shot Jacks Island under Ger Fox.
