Jason Quigley took his professional record to 12-0 on the Hopkins-Smith undercard last night with a first round win over Jorge Melendez in Inglewood, California.
Melendez came into this fight having won 30 of his previous 38 fights while Quigley's last outing was a unanimous decision win over James De La Rosa in Las Vegas in May.
Quigley dropped Melendez twice before the Puerto Rican's corner threw in the towel after he fell a third time, almost two and a half minutes into the first round.
The fight could possibly have been stopped earlier than that, such was the extent of Quigley's dominance.
Well done @jay_quigley we are all so proud of you from your beautiful hometown and beyond #donegal #TeamQuigley
