James McClean future at Sunderland appears in serious doubt as reports emerge that manager Paolo Di Canio intends to offload him this summer.
The Italian has promised to sell a sizeable number of players due to problems involving indiscipline. Backed by owner Ellis Short, Di Canio has dished out fines to players who have since complained to the PFA.
McClean is set to join the likes of Phil Bardsley, Titus Bramble, Craig Gardner and Connor Wickham at the Stadium of Light's exit door.
