Former Mayo manager James Horan believes the county did not get Aidan O'Shea into the games against Dublin often enough.

Speaking about the powerhouse player, who was deployed at full-forward and a target for balls in, James told Off The Ball: "He's in the form of his life and playing brilliant football. So did we get enough out of him over the couple of games? Absolutely not when you consider did the form that he's in and the ability that he's got," he said.

"We didn't get the return that we could have out of him."

James feels centre-half-forward is a position that would get O'Shea into the game more than a full-forward role.

"You can be much more of a primary ball winner than a full-forward," he stated.
