Jurgen Klopp has said he regrets some of the things he has said previously in his career.

The Liverpool manager was speaking last night in Russia ahead of his side's Europa League game with Rubin Kazan later this evening.

Klopp, asked about heavy metal football, : "The problem with my life is that I've said too much shit in the past and no-one forgets it."

The German called the brand of football his Borussia Dortmund side played as "heavy metal football" and it's a phrase that has followed him and been repeated often as he begins his spell in charge of Liverpool.

He told the assembled press in Russia that "we have to work for it and create a new kind of music maybe. But we are in a good way".

Liverpool are in second place in Group B of the Europa League after three draws in their opening three games. They lie four points behind Swiss side FC Sion.
