Ivan is getting all geared up for the Punchestown Racing Festival which kicks off today. The first races start at 3.40 today.

It’s not only about the horses you know. Ivan regaled us with tales of beautiful countryside in the heart of Kildare, not to mention the romance that occurs in the various tents and bars you can mingle in between races.

“You can meet your wife or lose your wife there.”

As for the races themselves, this is what Ivan had to say about the runners today:

“Faugheen is a good thing and I like Morning Assembly at 3:1. I think he’ll win the Novice Chase. He’s won four times around the track and I like him a lot.”
