Jay O'Shea has been named the League One Player of the Month for November.

The Dubliner scored six times in the month for Chesterfield who currently sit in the relegation zone in the English third tier.

The 28-year old has yet to make a senior international appearance for Ireland.

However, the attacking midfielder has won six under-21 caps for the Boys in Green, as well as five for the under-19s.

O'Shea began his career at Dublin side Home Farm, before moving to Bray Wanderers in 2006.

He then spent a season at Galway United, before transferring to the UK where he signed for Birmingham City in 2009, whilst they were a Premier League entity.

O'Shea made limited appearances for the club, spending spells on loan at Middlesbrough, Stevenage and Port Vale.

He then spent two years at Milton Keynes Dons, including a loan spell at Chesterfield, before moving there permanently in 2013.
