Team Ireland's Seamus O'Connor has qualified for the semi finals of the half-pipe event at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 16-year-old's best score came in his second run with a 71.50 which put him among 12 semi-finalists fighting for six final places.

The semi-final heats begin at 3pm at Sochi's Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.
