The Irish Three Day Eventing team are in eighth place overall heading into tomorrow's show-jumping.
Despite the elimination of Padraig McCarthy during today's testing cross-country course, Clare Abbot, Jonty Evans and Mark Kyle all managed to get around safely to steer the team into contention for a possible podium spot.
Australia lead those team rankings ahead of second placed New Zealand.
Evans is the best-placed of the Irish riders in the individual category in 16th overall.
