Ireland's Nicolas Roche has been involved in a crash today at the Vuelta Espana.

The Team Sky rider has had to receive medical treatment and mechanical assistance after the crash but remains in the race.

Roche started the day in 4th place overall, just over a minute behind overall leader, Tom Dumoulin.

It comes days after his cousin and fellow Irish rider Dan Martin was forced to withdraw from the Vuelta after suffering a nasty crash on Stage 8.
