Dan Martin has signed a deal to join the Etixx Quick-Step cycling team for next season.

The Irishman, who started today's seventh stage of the Vuelta Espana in third place overall, has agreed a two-year contract with the Belgian team which will see him continue to target Grand Tour races as well as One Day Classics.

On the road today, Dutch rider Bert Jan Lindeman won the stage after the breakaway riders managed to stay clear of the peleton.

Martin and Roche have both managed to limit their losses but Tour de France winner Chris Froome has lost time.
