Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni says the friendly tonight against Poland represents a chance for some of the younger players to stake a claim for more regular game time.
The game at Dublin's Aviva Stadium will see John O'Shea captain the Irish side in the absence of Robbie Keane, who is in the United States.
