Ireland have got their 6 nations campaign off to a winning start with a 28-6 win over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.
Tries from Jamie Heaslip, Rob Kearney and Andrew Trimble were added to by two conversions and three penalties from Jonny Sexton.
The game was a tight contest for the first half and until Andrew Trimble scored in first half stoppage time there was never more than 3 points between the sides. Trimble touched down to make it 11-3.
From there Ireland were never likely to look back and two more tries were tacked on as the pressure on the Scots increased incrementally.
