Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has added the uncapped pair of Cyrus Christie and David McGoldrick to his squad ahead of Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland.

Derby defender Christie and Ipswich Town striker McGoldrick have both been included in a 27-man panel after their documentation was finalised last week.

Kieran Westwood, Marc Wilson and Glenn Whelan have all been ruled out of the trip to Celtic Park, as well as next week's friendly against the USA, while James McCarthy will travel to Dublin for assessment after picking up a hamstring injury during Everton’s clash against Sunderland yesterday.

Among the other players who have been dropped from the provisional panel named last week are Hull's Brian Lenihan, who will feature for the Irish U21s instead this week, while Stephen Kelly, Paul McShane, Damien Delaney, Shane Duffy, Paul Green, Simon Cox and Conor Sammon have all missed out.
