Iran and South Korea have qualified for the World Cup.

The teams finished in the top two places of Asia's Group B after Iran won 1-0 against their qualification rivals.

Uzbekistan's 5 - 1 over 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar was not enough to reach automatic qualification as they lost out to South Korea by one goal.

They now face a playoff against Oman or Jordan to decide who will play South America's 5th placed side for a spot at the competition in Brazil.

Australia secured their spot with a 1 - 0 win against Iraq earlier.

Japan had already sealed their place at the tournament, along with hosts Brazil.
