Ireland newcomer Nathan White is out of the upcoming autumn internationals.

The Connacht prop suffered a ruptured tendon in his upper arm in training, and will require surgery that could keep him out for up to 16 weeks.

White was one of five new faces named in the Ireland squad for the forthcoming games at the Aviva, and had been in line to start against the Springboks on Saturday week.
