With the Premier League about to kick off again, Sporting Intelligence.com decided to map out the different nations that make up the 20 squads.

Ireland seems to reasonably well due to the geographical promixity of the self-styled "Best League in the World" which failed to send a team into the last-8 of last season's Champions League.

As of August 10th 2013, 29 Irish players are registered members of top flight clubs, although this number could go up or down by the end of the transfer window.

Unsurprisinly, the world's most populous country China does not have a player in the Premier League and it is a while since blasts from the past like Sun Jihai and Li Tie plied their trade in the top flight.
