There was action in all four divisions of the Allianz Football League today.

The most significant defeats came in Killarney as Kerry were beaten by two points by Division 1 newcomers Roscommons and Cork were brought back down to earth as they were hammered by ten points against Donegal in Ballyshannon.

In Division 2, Fermanagh defeated Meath in Brewster Park on a scoreline of 10 points to six while Galway were beaten by Tyrone 1-9 to 1-11 despite a late rally which saw them come narrowly close to usurping Tyrone at Pearse Stadium.

Elsewhere, Kildare kept their 100% record under Cian O'Neill in tact with a nervy victory over Offaly in Newbridge and Sligo ambushed Westmeath in Markievicz Park with a one point victory over one of the favourites for promotion from Division 3.

Leitrim were beaten by Wicklow by a single point despite a late surge and Waterford almost overturned Louth have trailed for most of the game. They were eventually beaten by a point.
