Peter Lawrie is on course for his best finish of the season as he currently in a tie for seventh at the Lyoness Open in Austria.

The Dubliner currently lies seven shots off the lead and is on -5. He shot a 71 today as Gregory Bourdy leads on -12. Lawrie who is playing on a week by week basis, is relying on sponsors invites after losing his tour card last season.

Lawrie lies 131st on the Race to Dubai standings having earned €80,347 this year. He will be hoping to better his highest paycheck of the season this weekend. His best finished was tied 16th in Malaysia where he earned just under €35,000.
