Matthew Macklin faces a key clash in his career trajectory this Saturday at the 3 Arena against Jorge Sebastian Heiland and tonight he told Off The Ball that he was under no illusion about the importance of victory.

Beat the WBC International Middleweight champion and it gives him a greater chance of one day claiming the belt.

"I believe I can go on and become world champion. But at the same time I'd have to be beating someone like Heiland. He's a solid fighter," said Mackli, who feels sharp ahead of the big fight.
