It wasn't the best of weekends for former Ireland winger Stephen Hunt as he and his Ipswich team-mates were knocked out of the Championship playoffs by local rivals Norwich.

But at least, he can look forward to having his future close to secure this summer as he told Off The Ball tonight.

"There's a good chance, I'll be back there next year. But there's a good chance I won't be," he said of Ipswich where his manager Mick McCarthy is looking towards the future.

"I'm confident I'll have two or three offers on the table in the next few weeks and I'll then see what's best for me and what's best for the gaffer."

Hunt also spoke about the huge disappointment that he and his team-mates are feeling at the moment, but also spoke highly of that group of Ipswich players as the "most genuine, down-to-earth" bunch.

As an example of the unity of spirit, Hunt said: "We had one bad character come into the changing room last year but he was shot down straight away and none of us had any of it."
