Can you keep up with all the news about Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice? Earlier this week it was announced it was to be the first of ten upcoming films based on DC Comics superheroes, and now yet another addition to the cast has been revealed.
The latest addition is Jena Malone, who has appeared in the likes of Donnie Darko and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (and its upcoming sequels). WILX-10 News was the first outlet to report the casting news, with the Hollywood Reporter saying 'multiple sources' confirmed that she will be appearing.
Mystery surrounds the role she will play, although there are already rumours that she will play Batman's sidekick Robin. In comics, female characters such as Carrie Kelley have been known to serve as the Caped Crusader's counterpart.
She joins a cast that already includes the returning cast of Man of Steel - including Henry Cavill (as Superman himself), Amy Adams and Diane Lane - alongside new additions including Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jeremy Irons as butler Alfred, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Phew.
Zack Snyder's film is shaping up to be the first major play in DC Comic's attempts to craft a shared 'cinematic universe' similar to rivals Marvel, and will be quickly followed by two Justice League films.
