Ian Holloway has left the role of manager at Crystal Palace.

The club had called a news conference for 5.30pm, where they were expected to announce the departure of the former Blackpool boss.

But  it has been confirmed that the man who led the team to promotion to the Premier League, is leaving the club.

Holloway had been in talks with chairman Steve Parish after Monday's 4 - 1 defeat to Fulham.

The Eagles are currently 19th in the Premier League with one win from eight.
