Guus Hiddink is set to take over the Netherlands manager position after the World Cup in Brazil.

Current coach Louis Van Gaal has said he would be interested in managing in the Premier League and has been linked with taking over at Tottenham at the end of the season.

Sky Sports reports that Hiddink, speaking to a Dutch media outlet, said he has already started work with the Dutch FA and is currently building his coaching team, including Jaap Stam and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

"I am working with the KNVB (Dutch FA) to create a coaching team around me," he said.

"We will need a few days or maybe a couple of weeks.

"It will be a great team. I will not be a free-wheeling coach. When I do something, I want to do it as well as I can - otherwise I would not do it."

Hiddink was in charge of the Dutch national side from 1994 to 1998 and has previously coached a number of international sides, including South Korea and Russia.
