Russia and Ukraine would be kept apart at the 2018 World Cup finals if relations between them do not improve according to FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

Ukraine would have to qualify first, while the Russians are the host nation.

Blatter says there should not be a boycott of the tournament over the situation, and says FIFA is "fully supporting" holding it in Russia.

"A boycott never achieves anything and does not have a positive effect. Fifa is fully supporting the World Cup in Russia," he said.
