Wales have been waiting a long time to reach a major tournament. But the way the Euro 2016 qualifiers are going so far, they are giving themselves every chance of reaching the final tournament in France.

After three games, they remain unbeaten in a group featuring the likes of Belgium and Bosnia, and picked up their second win of the campaign last night at home to Cyprus.

And if you look at the players at manager Chris Coleman's disposal there is plenty of talent there with Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, Joe Ledley, Ben Davies and Ashley Williams all prominent squad members.

Former Wales, Arsenal and Celtic striker John Hartson told Off The Ball he is still cautious given that three of the next four games are away from home, starting with a trip to Belgium.

However, he is impressed by the spirit in the camp and feels they have "grown as a team", highlighting the way Bale has been tracking back despite his stature in the world game.

Hartson thinks the resilience shown when they went down to ten men last night would not have been seen a few months ago.

But does he believe that this Welsh crop can be accurately described as a golden generation?
