Promising youngster Jack Grealish has been called up to Noel King's Ireland U21 squad for the final game of the UEFA U21 Championships Qualifying Group 6.

Grealish has been capped at U21 level for the Boys in Green but has not yet confirmed if his international future definitively lies with Ireland at senior level.

The 18-year0old Aston Villa player is eligible for England, the country of his birth.

But he is happy to line out for Ireland's U21s in the meantime according to Noel King.

"We all know that Martin O’Neill spoke to Jack about his long term intentions. These are big decisions for any boy. He’s happy to play for us at this time and we’re happy to accommodate him,” said King.

"He’s always done very well for us and hopefully he’ll realise his potential. Everybody knows his talent and he gets on very well with the rest of the lads in the group.

"Martin has already taken the likes of Shane Duffy, Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick who are still eligible for in his squad and that’s part of the job with the U21s. If Jack is the next one to progress to the senior international team we’ll be delighted for him."

Last night on Off The Ball, John Giles said it was time Grealish made up his mind about his international allegiances.
