For over a decade Real Madrid held sway over city rivals Atletico Madrid with the latter finding it impossible to beat their more illustrious opponents.

But things have changed over the last couple of years. Atletico have won two big games of late against Real, one of which was a famous victory in last year's Copa del Rey final.

With the clubs now on a more equitable footing than at any other time since 1996, the Madrid derby has now been transported to most famous stage of all: The Champions League final.

Tonight, Graham Hunter joined Cian on the line to talk about the new reality in Madrid.

"What has gone is this beaten before the kick off idea and it's gone for the foreseeable future," said Graham, of Atletico's new found confidence when facing Real.

"That makes me think it's healthy for the final. I have an inclination for a number of reasons that Madrid should win but I absolutely do not think that they can go out there and play as if destiny wants to give them the Decima. Therefore we've got a proper contest. It's going to be a good game."
