Mick McCarthy got off to a winning start as Ipswich manager - they beat Birmingham 1-0 at St. Andrews which now leaves them just four points from safety in the Championship.
However the Tractor Boys remain rock bottom of the table.
In the SPL, Pat Fenlon"s Hibs side are top of the league after a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren, although champions Celtic don"t play until tomorrow.

It is a turn around from last season when Fenlon"s men were battling at the other end of the table.
