Glenn Whelan did not take part in an Ireland training session today as he recovers from the ankle injury that ruled him out of last nights game in Stockholm.

The Republic of Ireland squad trained in Dublin this afternoon following last night's draw away to Sweden.

The Stoke midfielder could still be available for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Austria at the Aviva.
