After his two-goal showing against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, Olivier Giroud was on the end of praise from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger this weekend.

The Gunners boss emphasised the improvement made by the Frenchman in recent times and tonight on Off The Ball, Pat Nevin pointed out an important aspect of his play in the box.

"Giroud is what he's always been. He's improving in certain areas. But I think he's one of the best I've ever seen scoring at the front post," said Pat, highlighting the movement made by the French striker for one of the goals.

"Look through his career and see how many times he scores at the front post. Not at the front post - but beyond the front post. That part of his game is utterly brilliant." 

Pat also gave his take on Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa challenge and the real impact of captains.
